Couple is arrested and over 160 kg of marijuana seized on BR-376 in Tibagi

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) arrested a couple and seized more than 160 kilos of marijuana during an approach held on Sunday afternoon (13), on BR-376, in the municipality of Tibagi.

During the inspection and consultation of the police systems, the officers found that the driver of the vehicle had an open arrest warrant, issued by the 2nd Family Court and Cascavel Successions.

The action occurred when the police team gave a stop order to a Ford Fusion vehicle. In the car were three occupants: the driver (32 years), his companion (29 years) and a child (2 years). During the inspection inside the car, the agents located several tablets of the narcotic, totaling more than 160 kg of marijuana.

To the police, the occupants reported that they left the city of Guaíra for Curitiba carrying out the transport of the illicit cargo.

In addition to the flagrante for drug trafficking, the court order of arrest against the driver was complied with. The couple was sent, along with the drug and the vehicle, to the Civil Police Station of Tibagi for the appropriate procedures.

Due to the presence of the child in the vehicle, the staff of the Guardian Council was activated to monitor the occurrence and adopt the necessary protective measures.
