Municipality opens new R$2.2 million tender for Christmas decoration in PG
Pregão includes materials, setup, installation, electrical on-call service and dismantling; bidding is scheduled for November 13
Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa has opened a new tender with a maximum value of R$ 2,226,382.95 for the Christmas decoration of 2026. The notice of the Electronic Pregão no 179/2026 was published in the edition of this Wednesday (28) of the Official Journal of the Municipality.
The contract provides for a company specializing in the execution of thematic design, including the supply of materials, assembly, installation, electrical shift and subsequent disassembly of the decoração natalina.
The session is scheduled for November 13, at 9 am, through the Public Procurement Portal. The notice is dated October 27 and signed by the municipal secretary of Culture, Alberto Schramm Portugal. The amount disclosed corresponds to the maximum limit foreseen for this contract. The final cost will depend on the result of the bidding and the formalization of the contract.
Another prayer for Christmas
The new publication comes after the opening of another procedure related to the 2026 decoração natalina. As reported by BnT Online on October 21, the Electronic Pregão no 169/2026 provides up to R$ 1,044,195.34 for maintenance, assembly, disassembly, transportation and 24-hour electrical shift of objects and Christmas ornaments. The dispute over this procedure was announced for November 9 at 9am on Compras.gov.br.

The two warnings feature different numbers, platforms, and object descriptions. While the previous section deals with services related to objects and ornaments, the new publication provides execution of thematic design with supply of materials.
The relationship between the two procedures and the division of structures and services need to be clarified from the respective edicts. The figures announced do not represent expenditures already made or allow, in isolation, to establish the total cost of Christmas 2026.
Locations and schedule
The notice of Pregão no 179/2026 does not inform which squares, parks, streets or other spaces will receive the decoration. It also does not show the list of parts, quantities, the start date of the assembly or the period in which the structures will remain installed.
This information depends on the consultation of the full notice and the annexes. Without the detailing and consolidation of the contracts, it is also not possible to establish a direct comparison with the cost of the decoração natalina of 2025.
