Raquel Lyra reelected governor of Pernambuco in first round
Candidate of PSD obtained 53.27% of valid votes, according to TSE data

Raquel Lyra was re-elected governor of Pernambuco on Sunday (4), in the first round of the 2026 elections. The PSD candidate obtained 53.27% of the valid votes, the equivalent of 2,737,297 votes, according to data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
By 8:59 p.m., 98.16% of the ballot boxes had been totaled in the state. With the result, she is mathematically elected.
Lyra was ahead of João Campos (PSB), who received 44.78% of the vote (2,315,214).
The following candidates appear:
Ivan Moraes (PSOL), 1.49%;
Renan (Mission), 0.35%%;
Professor Camila (UP), 0.07%;
Guilherme Fonseca (PSTU), 0.02%;
Victor Assis (PCO), 0.01%.
Election to governor is defined in the first round when a nomination gets more than half of the valid votes. With the result, there will be no second round for the government of Pernambuco.
The current governor, Raquel Lyra, was a state deputy and mayor of Caruaru for two terms. In 2022, she became the first woman elected governor of the state. In 2026, he contests re-election.
In the social networks, Raquel thanked the votes and said that Pernambuco "chose to continue changing"
“I receive this victory with a heart full of gratitude and with even more responsibility. Four years ago, you made history by electing the first woman governor of Pernambuco. Today, together, we write another chapter of this story,” he said.
The vote for governor took place simultaneously with the election for president, senator and federal, state or district deputies (in the case of the Federal District).
