Incident occurred in Taquari on Sunday (4); two men were taken to the police station after the disturbance
A confusion temporarily interrupted the vote and left an auxiliary of Justiça Eleitoral injured on Sunday (4), in the town of Taquari, in Rio Azul. According to the Military Police, the incident was recorded at around 5 p.m. during Operation Elections 2026, after a seemingly drunken man tried to queue to vote after the closure of the distribution of passwords.
According to the police report, the man had begun to act aggressively against an auxiliary of Justiça Eleitoral, who gave him a voice of arrest. During containment, the server's glasses were damaged, and he suffered injuries to his hand and elbow.
Threats have stalled the vote
According to the PM, a second man arrived at the scene and, along with the first one involved, made threats against the auxiliary. The situation caused the temporary suspension of the vote.
The police team was called in to respond to the occurrence and control the riot. After the intervention, those involved were referred for medical evaluation and, subsequently, to the Civil Police Station of Rebouças, for the appropriate measures.
