Sanitary Surveillance releases ICU at Hospital Anna Fiorillo Menarim in Castro

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hospital Anna Fiorillo Menarim, in Castro, is released to receive patients again from this Thursday (1st). The information was confirmed by Vigilância Sanitária de Castro in conjunction with Vigilância Sanitária of the 3rd Regional Health of Paraná (3rd RS).

The release comes after a series of inspections carried out in the sector since the ban. According to the supervisory bodies, the company responsible for the management of the hospital concluded the compliance with the established requirements and regularized the pending proceedings that still prevented the operation of the ICU.

Requirements have been met

According to Vigilância Sanitária, the inspections aimed to verify that the unit met the necessary standards to ensure patient safety and proper service operation.

In the inspection carried out on Thursday, the teams found that the required adaptations were completed, allowing the resumption of care in the Intensive Care Unit.

Monitoring followed technical criteria

In a note, the Vigilância Sanitária of Castro stressed that the whole process of supervision was conducted based on technical criteria and the current health standards.

The body also stressed that the measures adopted aimed to ensure compliance with health guidelines and the security of care, stating that there was no requirement considered “outside the standards” provided by the legislation.

The Vigilância Sanitária further reinforced that it will continue to exercise its role of supervision in an exempt and focused on the protection of public health in the municipality.

With the release, the Hospital Anna Fiorillo Menarim will once again have the ICU available for receiving patients in need of intensive care.
