Actor Cássio Scapin do Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum highlights geek event in PG
Actor known for the character Nino from Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum invites the public to an event with games, cosplay, literature and free attractions.
The Sesc Geek Literacon at Ponta Grossa moves the city’s cultural programming on Friday (6) and Saturday (7), with free attractions for fans of games, literature, cosplay and pop culture. The event, held at Sesc Estação Saudade, won a special invitation from actor Cassio Scapin, known for playing the character Nino in the series Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum.
The artist, who has marked generations with his performance on Brazilian television, sent a message inviting the public to participate in the programming. The actor’s connection to the universe of fantasy and creativity reinforces the atmosphere of the meeting, which promises to bring together children, young people and adults in an experience dedicated to the geek culture.
The program takes place at Sesc Estação Saudade, located at Fernandes Pinheiro Street, 77, in the Center of Ponta Grossa, and includes interactive activities, workshops, championships and artistic presentations.
Cassio Scapin draws attention to geek event
Known nationally by the character Nino, from the Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum series, Cassio Scapin has become an affective reference for different generations of Brazilians.
His participation in the dissemination of Sesc Geek Literacon draws the attention of fans who grew up following the adventures of the character and who today share an interest in fantasy, literature and pop culture.
The invitation made by the actor highlights the proposal to bring together different audiences around creativity and entertainment.
Programming begins with Hot Geek
The Sesc Geek Literacon activities in Ponta Grossa start this Friday (6), from 7 pm to 10 pm, with the so-called Esquenta Geek.
The first night will feature games exhibition and registration for championships, preparing the public for Saturday’s attractions.
On November 7, the programming begins at 10 am, with the official opening and presentation of the Lyra dos Campos Band, which will bring to the public a thematic repertoire inspired by films and electronic games.
Throughout Saturday, visitors will be able to participate in workshops creating fictional universes, known as worldbuilding, as well as artistic make-up activities, geek flims production and creation of parchments.
Championships and cosplay contest are attractions
Fans of games will also have guaranteed space during the event. From 3 pm to 7 pm on Saturday, games and card games championships are planned, with disputes between participants.
Another highlight will be the Cosplay Contest, scheduled for 6 pm, with awards in the categories Children and Free Performing.
The contest values the creativity, characterization and interpretation of characters, allowing participants to present their productions to the public.
In addition to the competitions, the Sesc Estação Saudade will feature game exhibitions, digital game stations, a fair of exchanges of gifs, magazines and manga and a photo booth.
The program is scheduled to close at 8 pm, with the general awards of the championships.
Entry is free and has a charitable character
All Sesc Geek Literacon attractions are free. The SESC requests the donation of a new toy for the Toy Campaign, an initiative that seeks to unite entertainment and solidarity.
Registrations for the workshops will be made in person, in order of arrival and according to the availability of places.
For the games and card games championships, interested parties can register up to one hour before the start of each competition, respecting the limit of participants.
The proposal is to expand access to geek culture and provide a space for families, students and fans of fantastic literature, games and pop culture in Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais.
