The paving works in Jardim Paraíso, in Ponta Grossa, advance with new stages of infrastructure in different streets of the community. The works are part of the Asphalt New program, developed by Prefeitura Municipal, and represent an investment of R$ 26.7 million to improve traffic conditions and mobility of residents.
According to the City Council, the teams have already completed the drainage services in several sections and now concentrate the work on the preparation of the sub-base and the base of the roads. Also in progress are the implementation of cableways and the construction of sidewalks, steps necessary before the application of the final layer of asphalt.
In all, the project provides eight kilometers of paving, distributed in 39 stretches of 24 streets of Jardim Paraíso. The initiative seeks to improve urban infrastructure, facilitate the movement of vehicles and pedestrians and offer more security to the population.
Investment of R$ 26.7 million includes 24 streets
The interventions in Jardim Paraíso are financed through the Regional Development Bank of the Far South (BRDE). According to the schedule presented by the municipal administration, the deadline for completion of the works is January 2028.
In addition to paving, the works include drainage services and improvements in the road structures, essential to ensure greater durability of the asphalt and adequate traffic conditions.
The interventions are expected to contribute to reducing problems faced by residents in unpaved streets, especially dust in dry periods and mud formation during rainfall.
