Centenary chapel destroyed in Rebouças
In Rebouças, the centenary chapel located in a rural area was completely destroyed after the storm recorded late Thursday afternoon (8).
The construction, made of wood and with more than a century of history, did not withstand the force of the wind and collapsed. The church was empty at the time of the incident, so there was no record of injuries.
On Friday, teams from Defesa Civil were on site to assess the damage caused by the storm.
According to information passed on to the organ by the owner of the area, residents of the community have already expressed their intention to rebuild the chapel.
The force of the wind also hit a neighboring property. Trees were felled and part of a shed was damaged.

The storms on Paraná also caused destruction in Goioerê. Security cameras installed on a rural property recorded the moment when the force of the wind ripped off the roof of a shed with approximately 2,400 square meters.
The images show parts of the structure being lifted and loaded by the windstorm. A tractor that was parked near the shed was nearly hit by the wreckage.
At the time of the storm, 18 people were working on the property.
According to the report of those responsible for the site, the workers took advantage of a period of improvement in time to carry out the planting of soybeans when they were surprised by the arrival of the strong wind.
Despite the intensity of the phenomenon and the material losses recorded on the farm, no one was injured.
Damages will still be calculated
The persons responsible for the property in Goioerê had not yet calculated the total amount of the losses caused by the storm.
The episodes recorded in Rebouças and Goioerê show the intensity of the storms in the Paraná and the damage that gusts of wind can cause mainly in rural areas.
In Rebouças, in addition to the material losses, the destruction of the chapel also represents the loss of a historical construction for the local community. The expectation of the residents is that the religious space will be rebuilt.
