The state deputy Requião Filho (PDT) on Tuesday (27), submitted complaints to the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPT) and the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) against the councilor of Curitiba Guilherme Kilter (New). The representations were motivated by a publication on the social network X with the phrase “First dismiss a petist”.

According to the deputy, the message encourages employers to dismiss workers for their political demonstrations after the second round of the presidential elections, held on Sunday (25). Requião asks the bodies to identify possible electoral harassment and discrimination in labour relations.

In the post, Kilter associates layoffs with spending cuts and restructuring of companies. The councilman also shares screenshots with reports of people who claim to have lost their jobs after declaring vote or support for Lula. The reports reproduced in the publication do not represent, in themselves, proof of the circumstances of the dismissals.

Member calls for investigation

In announcing the representations, Requião Filho criticized the use of political positioning as a motive for punishments in the professional environment. “You can no longer let this kind of people go unpunished,” said the parliamentarian, defending the investigation of the demonstrations by the authorities.

In the documents sent to the MPT and the MPF, through the Regional Electoral Prosecutor's Office of Paraná, the deputy cites a decision of the Regional Labour Court of the 3rd Region on publication of similar content. The representations also mention Resolution No. 355/2023 of the Superior Council of Labor Justice, which deals with electoral harassment in labor relations. The Member of Parliament uses these references to support the request for an investigation.

Jessicão was also the target of complaint

On Monday, Requião Filho had already sent complaints to the same bodies against the elected state deputy Jessica Ramos Moreno, known as Jessicão (PL). The initiative was motivated by a publication in which she advocated the dismissal of workers and used the expression “Lay off evil.”

In both situations, the MEP asks the authorities to assess whether the demonstrations encourage discrimination against workers on the basis of their political convictions. The forwarding of complaints does not mean that the bodies have recognised irregularities or opened an investigation. The material provided to the report does not present manifestations of Kilter and Jessicão about the representations, nor does it inform any measures adopted by the MPT and the MPF.
