Obras on Antônio Saad Avenue change traffic starting from this Wednesday in PG
Traffic on Antônio Saad Avenue will have blockages and detours starting from this Wednesday (14) due to expansion works on the lane.
Drivers who use Avenida Antônio Saad, in Ponta Grossa, should be aware of the changes in traffic that begin on Wednesday (14). The stretch will undergo blockages and temporary deviations due to the works of enlargement of the track carried out in the region.
According to Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, the changes will be coordinated by the Traffic Superintendence of the Municipal Secretariat of Citizenship and Public Security. The service is expected to be completed in approximately seven days.
How will traffic be in the neighborhood-center direction
Those who travel along Avenida Antônio Saad in the neighborhood-center direction should enter on the right at Rua Engenheiro Virgílio Milanese.
From there, drivers must continue to Rua Barão de Penedo, access Rua René Gomes Napoli and then return to Avenida Antônio Saad.
Change in the centre-neighbourhood direction
In the opposite direction, center-neighborhood, the change will occur in the vicinity of the intersection with Ercilio Slaviero Street.
At this point, the vehicles will be directed to the opposite lane and must remain in the detour to Rua Engenheiro Virgílio Milanese, where it will be possible to return to normal flow.
The signage will be installed to indicate the route to the drivers.
Avenue receives up to 15,000 vehicles per day
According to the Superintendent of Transit, João Rodrigo, the intervention must take into account the great movement recorded daily in Avenida Antônio Saad.
According to the City Hall, between 12,000 and 15,000 vehicles pass through the avenue every day. The flow increased especially after the deployment of the new connection with Anita Garibaldi Avenue.
“The adaptations are necessary to make the works feasible and organize the circulation during the execution of the services,” explains João Rodrigo.
During the period of interventions, Patrulhamento Viário teams will be positioned in the region to guide drivers and assist in the organization of traffic.
The recommendation is for drivers to slow down, respect the temporary signage and, where possible, plan the route in advance to avoid disturbances at the times of greatest movement.
