Partido Liberal grows and ties with PSD in leadership of Paraná Assembly
With 14 deputies each, parties will have the largest benches in 2027; State Legislature will have 23 new members
The Assembly of the Paraná will have a new distribution of political forces from 2027. The result of the elections on Sunday (4) defined the 54 state deputies of the next legislature, with PL and PSD tied in the leadership: each party will occupy 14 seats. The composition was released by the Assembly after the officialization of the results by the Regional Electoral Court of Paraná (TRE-PR).
The PL showed the greatest growth among the main groups, going from five to 14 representatives. The PSD lost a chair in relation to the composition compared in the survey, going from 15 to 14. The PT has expanded its representation from seven to eight deputies and will have the third largest bench. The numbers were published by Bem Paraná.

The official relationship brings together representatives of nine parties. PL and PSD, together, will have 28 deputies, more than half of the seats of the state legislature. This sum, however, does not automatically represent the formation of a political bloc between the two subtitles.
Renewal reaches 42,59%
In addition to the changes in the size of the benches, the election changed part of the names that will occupy the plenary. In all, 31 parliamentarians won re-election and 23 new members will be in the next legislature, the equivalent of a renewal of 42.59%.
Among those arriving at the House is Ricardo Zampieri (PL), councilman of Ponta Grossa. The representation linked to the Campos Gerais will also count on Mabel Canto (PP) and Moacyr Fadel (PSD), who have won new mandates.
Articulations for 2027
With the benches set, attention is turned to the negotiations on the presidency of the Assembly, the choice of the leaderships, the distribution of the commissions and the formation of the base of the next government.

These joints should move the last months of 2026. The size of each bench will be one of the elements considered in the negotiations to organize the work of the Legislative from 2027.
