Woman is struck by car during celebration of Lula's re-election in Castro
Case occurred on Sunday night (25) at Manoel Ribas Square in Castro
A woman was injured after being hit by a car in the Manoel Ribas square, in the central region of Castro. The case took place on Sunday night (25), during the celebration of the re-election of President Lula (PT).
The action was recorded on video, when the car hits the woman. The image shows the vehicle passing at high speed close to the group of people. The Civil Police are investigating.
Witnesses reported that the driver approached driving in zigzag and hit the victim's legs, which were on his back. With the impact, she fell to the ground.
The victim was rescued and taken to the hospital with severe injuries to the spine. On Tuesday morning (27th), she remained in hospital.
The driver did not give any assistance and left the scene. The Civil Police reported that the case is being investigated as a serious bodily injury and failure to provide relief.
