Carambeí opens Dutch windmill with festival this weekend
Carambeí hosts the Molen Feest on November 7 and 8, featuring the inauguration of a Dutch windmill, gastronomy, and tickets at R$ 20.

The city of Carambeí, at Campos Gerais do Paraná, will be the scene of a great celebration of Dutch culture this weekend. On November 7 and 8, Het Dorp – Dutch Village promotes the Molen Fest, known as the Mill Festival, with a special program that brings together gastronomy, traditions, entertainment and the inauguration of a new tourist attraction.
The main highlight of the festival will be the inauguration of a Dutch mill, built over approximately a year, following characteristics and references of traditional Dutch architecture. The structure promises to become another symbol of the influence of Dutch immigration in the region.
For the first time, visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the interior of the mill and explore its different environments, in an experience that brings the public closer to the history and traditions preserved by the Carambeí community.
Gastronomy and attractions for the whole family
In addition to the opening, Molen Feest will have a diverse program during the two days. The public can enjoy typical Dutch cuisine, cultural workshops, handicraft exhibition and lavender products.
The lavender fields and other spaces of the Het Dorp – Dutch Village will also be available for visitation, providing experiences that combine nature, culture and tourism.
For the children, the organization prepared inflatable toys and recreational activities, making the festival an alternative tour for families of Ponta Grossa, Carambeí and other municipalities of Campos Gerais.
Promotional Income
During Saturday (7) and Sunday (8), the festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. To encourage public participation, the organization announced a special condition: all visitors will pay half-entry, with tickets worth R$ 20 per person.
The pre-purchase can be made through the official website of the Dutch Village.
The realization of Molen Feest also reinforces the tourist potential of Carambeí, a municipality known for preserving the traditions of Dutch immigrants and for its cultural and gastronomic attractions.
