UBS Alvorada doubles in size after R$ 782 thousand renovation in Castro
UBS Alvorada in Castro will be handed over this Saturday (7), after a R$ 782 thousand renovation that almost doubled the service structure.
The City of Castro, in the Campos Gerais, delivers on Saturday (7) the extension and reform of the Basic Health Unit (UBS) Alvorada, located in Jardim Alvorada. The work received an investment of more than R$ 782,000, with resources from the Municipality and the State Government, and practically doubled the structure of attendance to the population.
The UBS Dr. Libânio Estanislau Cardoso went from 213 square meters to approximately 500 square meters of built area. The solemnity of delivery is scheduled for 10 am and will be open to the community.
Unit gains new offices and service spaces
The reform brought important changes to the structure of UBS Alvorada. Improvements include the construction of a new reception, new offices and rooms for the care and activities of health professionals.
The building also received painting, grating installation and landscaping services, providing a renewed environment for patients and servers.
With the expansion, the expectation is to offer better working conditions to the teams and mais conforto to the residents who use the unit’s services.
The mayor of Castro, Reinaldo Cardoso, highlighted the importance of investment for the community.
“This is an important work that will certainly bring improvements to the residents of Jardim Alvorada,” he said.
Castro expands investments in health
In addition to the reform of UBS Alvorada, the Castro City Council maintains other interventions in the structure of municipal public health.
According to the municipal secretary of Health, Matilvani Moreira, the works of the new spaces of the Women's Health Center and the Specialized Care Service and Testing and Counseling Center (SAE-CTA) have already been finalized.
“We have already completed the works of the new spaces of the Women’s Health Center and the SAE-CTA. We are also moving forward to complete the expansion of UBS Socavão,” said the secretary.
The improvements are part of the investments aimed at modernizing the health units in Castro, with the aim of strengthening the care of the population and providing structures more appropriate to the services offered by the municipality.
