Dollar rises again and opens at R$ 5.01 on this Thursday
On Wednesday (7), the Brazilian financial market had an adjustment session, following the rally (strong dollar decline and stock rise) recorded after the first round of elections.

On Thursday (8), the commercial dollar opened at R$ 5.01. At 0.08%, the U.S. currency is still influenced by the result of the elections in Brazil, as investors follow the surge in oil prices, after news that the Trump administration may make new attacks on Iran. A few minutes later, the dollar has passed to R$ 5.02.
On Wednesday (7), the Brazilian financial market had an adjustment session, after the rally (strong fall of the dollar and rise of the stock exchange) registered after the first round of the elections. The dollar again exceeded R$ 5, and the Ibovespa fell 0.74% and closed the day to 204,000 points.

The spot dollar closed up 0.83%, at R$ 5,016, after reaching the maximum of R$ 5,017 in the final straight of business. In the previous session, the currency had recorded the lowest price in almost five months.
The movement interrupted two consecutive downturns, a period in which the dollar accumulated downturns of 4.65%. In the week, the currency still records a fall of 3.94%.
Overseas, the DXY index, which measures the performance of the U.S. currency against a basket of six currencies, rose 0.36%, to 102,280, after reaching a high of 102,499.
