Family asks for help to cover funeral costs of man in Paraná

The family of 45-year-old Eliel Rosa de Jesus is mobilizing a fundraising campaign to pay for the funeral and burial of the man, who died after being stabbed to death in Pinhão, in the central region of Paraná.

According to information provided by the family, approximately R$ 7,5 thousand are needed to cover the expenses. To date, about R$ 2,000 have already been raised, remaining approximately R$ 5.5 thousand.

The incident that ended with Eliel’s death was recorded around 1:45 a.m. in the Colina Verde neighborhood in Pinhão.

According to military police, the victim’s companion reported that an argument had begun after a bottle fell into the courtyard of a neighboring residence.

According to police reports, the woman was assaulted by two women. Eliel then intervened in the situation to help her.

At that moment, a 27-year-old man reportedly left the property and struck Eliel with a knife. The victim could not resist the injuries and died at the scene.

The suspect was sent to the police station.

According to the Military Police, the man named as responsible for the stab wounds presented himself to the police team during the attendance of the occurrence.

He was sent to the Police Station, where he went through the appropriate procedures, was heard by the delegate and subsequently released.

The location of the crime was isolated for the work of the teams responsible for the forensics.
