Ponta Grossa School Included in Full-Time Education
Decree published on Tuesday (20) includes Municipal School Prefeito Theodoro Batista Rosas, in Oficinas neighborhood, in the list of full-time units in the municipal network
Escola Municipal Prefeito Theodoro Batista Rosas, located at Vila Pinheiro, in the Oficinas neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa, was officially included in the list of full-time educational institutions of the municipal network. The change was established by Decree No. 27.000/2026, published in the Official Journal of the Municipality on Tuesday (20).
The measure amends Municipal Decree No. 23,200, of April 9, 2024, which regulates full-time schools within the Municipal Secretariat of Education. With the update, the unit formally integrates the list of establishments covered by the regulation. The new decree was signed by prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt on 16 October 2026 and came into force on the date of its publication.

The Escola Municipal Prefeito Theodoro Batista Rosas serves the Educação Infantil and Elementary Education and is located at Rua Dr. Carlos Deszaunet Neto, no 10, in the Vila Pinheiro, Workshops region. The inclusion of the institution occurs through the addition of a new subsection to article 1 of the municipal regulations.
The school is listed as the unit number XIV in the relationship provided for by the decree. The publication represents an important administrative update for the organization of the municipal education network, especially with regard to institutions framed in the full-time education policy.
What changes with full-time teaching?
The full-time education is proposed to extend the period of stay of students in the school, allowing the development of pedagogical and educational activities over an extended journey. This model can provide more opportunities for learning and development, with activities complementary to traditional training, according to the pedagogical planning of each institution.

However, Decree No. 27.000/2026 does not specify the start date of the extended journey at the Prefect Theodoro Batista Rosas School, the number of students that will be contemplated or any changes in the structure of the unit. This information still needs to be clarified by the Municipal Secretariat of Education.
