Residents report abandonment of a square in Palmeirinha, in Ponta Grossa
Residents report broken toys and lack of care at Palmeirinha Square, in Ponta Grossa, and demand revitalization and security.

Residents of the Palmeirinha region, in Ponta Grossa, sought the Portal BnT Online to denounce the conditions of the Palmeirinha Square, located on the corner of Francisco Otaviano and Jaguapitã streets. The community complains of broken toys, lack of maintenance and safety problems in the space frequented by children and families.
According to the reports referred to the report, the playground presents conservation problems that mainly concern parents. The situation has prompted calls for revitalization and greater attention from the public authorities to ensure adequate conditions for the use of space.
Among the complaints, residents claim that there are damaged toys, making it difficult for children to use the playground. The community also reports having found a condom near the area intended for children’s activities, a situation that has increased concern with the cleanliness and safety of the environment.
Community charges revitalization of the square
Residents ask Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa to conduct an assessment of the conditions of the Palmeirinha Square and take measures to recover damaged equipment, improve cleaning and strengthen care of the site.
The demand is for the space to return to offer adequate leisure conditions, especially for families who live nearby and use the square as a point of coexistence in the neighborhood.
The community also questions the lack of political attention to the region. According to reports, even with two councilors connected to the neighborhood, residents feel a lack of initiatives to solve the problems pointed out. The MPs were not identified in the complaint sent to the portal.
Residents call for more safety for children
In addition to the recovery of toys, residents highlight the need for frequent maintenance and supervision of public space.
The presence of inadequate objects in the vicinity of the playground, as reported in the report, reinforces the parents' concern with the use of the area by children.
The community hopes that the situation will be evaluated by the responsible bodies and that measures will be taken to recover the Palmeirinha Square.
The images sent to BnT Online accompany the residents’ complaint and help to document the conditions reported.
The Portal BnT Online contacted the councilors Divo and Léo Farmacêutico, who represent the region, to request a positioning on the complaints of the residents and the conditions of the square. Until the closure of this matter, the parliamentarians had not responded to the questions. The portal keeps the space open for demonstrations and will update the report as soon as there is a return.
