Truck overturns on PRC-487 in Ivaí during the early morning

The toppling of a truck in Ivaí, municipality of Campos Gerais, was registered in the early hours of Friday (6), around 3 am, on the highway PRC-487. The accident occurred at kilometer 443.8 and involved a Volkswagen 17.190 truck, with Cascavel plates. Despite the crash, the 22-year-old driver was not injured.

According to the information passed on by Polícia Militar Rodoviária (BPRv), the vehicle was traveling along the PRC-487 towards the junction with the PR-522 towards the municipality of Ivaí, when the accident occurred.

The truck was driven by a 22-year-old man who came out unharmed. The crash was classified by the authorities as a casualty-free crash.

Truck fell at km 443.8 of the PRC-487

According to the data collected by the police team at the scene, the truck was following the state highway when, upon reaching kilometer 443,8, it ended up falling.

The incident was attended by road military police linked to the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion, through the Piraí do Sul road station.

The police report confirms that the driver had no injuries. The information disclosed does not detail what would have caused the overturning nor do they indicate whether there was a need for interdiction of the runway during the service.

Possible damage to the cargo transported by the vehicle was also not reported.

The accident was recorded during the early morning hours.
