Woman is arrested in Reserva after stealing a wallet, using the victim's card and violating a judicial order
Investigated person is alleged to have violated precautionary measures imposed by the Judiciary. Preventive arrest was carried out by the Civil Police on this Tuesday (22)
A 52-year-old woman was arrested by the Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR), on Tuesday (22), in the municipality of Reserva, on Campos Gerais. She is investigated for involvement in a series of thefts recorded in the city, including the stealing of products from a supermarket and the misuse of a bank card belonging to a victim.
The arrest occurred after the failure to comply with precautionary measures previously imposed by the Justice. In view of the situation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested the revocation of the provisional release of the investigated woman, a request that was accepted by the Criminal Court of the Reserve District.
Supermarket thefts and card misuse
According to the investigations of the Civil Police, the woman is suspected of involvement in different crimes against property recently registered in the municipality. Among the cases investigated is the theft of products in a Reserve supermarket. In another instance, the investigator allegedly stole a wallet and used the victim’s bank card to make improper purchases in several commercial establishments in the region.
The episodes were investigated by PCPR, which gathered information about the possible participation of the woman in the crimes.
Justice orders pre-trial detention
The judicial decision that determined the pretrial detention took into account the non-compliance with the precautionary measures imposed previously, in addition to the risk of the investigated to commit crimes again. According to the Civil Police, the judicial order was issued on the basis of guaranteeing public order and the risk of criminal recurrence, in the face of the infractions against the property that are being investigated.

After fulfilling the warrant, the woman was referred for examination of bodily injuries and subsequently handed over to the prison system. The investigator remains at the disposal of the courts.
