Images of the site where a man fell about 15 meters during a leak in Ponta Grossa show the hard-to-reach area where firefighters carried out the rescue on Friday. The man was seriously injured and died after being referred to medical attention.

The incident was recorded in the Boa Vista neighborhood, near the Atlanta Garden and the new access to Vila Liliane. According to information passed on by the Military Police, the man would have entered a residence and was perceived by the resident of the property.

After being discovered, the suspect left the scene running and began an escape through the region. During the attempt to escape, he entered an area of forest and ended up falling into a point of difficult access, amidst the vegetation.

Residents triggered the emergency teams, which began the search for the man. According to information from the service, initially firefighters had not located the victim, but one person indicated that he had seen the man inside a hole approximately 15 meters deep.

The teams of the Fire Department, SIATE, SAMU and Military Police were mobilized to carry out the rescue. Due to the characteristics of the terrain, it was necessary to use specific equipment to remove the victim in a more complex operation.

The man was found with serious injuries and received care at the scene. He was removed from the area and referred to a hospital unit, but did not resist the injuries and died.

During the incident, the victim was undocumented and had no identification. The Scientific Police carried out the necessary procedures and collected materials found in the property where the invasion attempt would have occurred.

At the scene, objects left by the suspect were found, including a sneaker and a knife, which should assist in the investigations.

The Civil Police will be responsible for ascertaining the circumstances of the occurrence and confirming the identity of the man.
