A 29-year-old driver dies after crashing into the back of a truck
A 29-year-old driver dies after accident on PR-438 in Manoel Ribas. Three other people, including a child, were injured.
An accident on PR-438, at Manoel Ribas, ended with the death of a 29-year-old man on Sunday morning (27). The rear collision occurred around 9:10 a.m., at km 399+300 of the highway, on the stretch between Manoel Ribas and Cândido de Abreu.
According to information from the State Highway Police (PRE), the accident involved a Ford Fiesta, with plates of Manoel Ribas, and a composition formed by a Scania tractor-trailer and two Randon semi-trailers.
The driver of the Fiesta, 29, was referred to hospital care but did not resist the injuries. The death was confirmed while the police team was still preparing the report of the occurrence.
Three passengers were injured
In addition to the driver, three other people were in the Ford Fiesta. A 24-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl suffered injuries considered mild.
The victims were referred to the hospital of Manoel Ribas for evaluation and medical care.
The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man, was not injured.
Dynamics of the accident
According to the data collected by the State Road Police at the site, the vehicles were traveling in the direction of Cândido de Abreu to Manoel Ribas when the rear collision occurred at the height of km 399+300.
The exact circumstances that caused the PR-438 crash were not detailed in the corporate bulletin.
To ensure the safety and fluidity of the traffic, the vehicles involved were removed from the track before the arrival of the police team responsible for recording the occurrence.
The State Road Police carried out the collection of information and recorded the accident. The incident was attended by a team of the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion, linked to the region of Guarapuava.
The accident on PR-438 occurred during the morning of Sunday and mobilized service teams in the Manoel Ribas region. The name of the driver who died had not been officially reported in the initial bulletin released by the authorities.
