Capotamento on BR-376 in Ponta Grossa mobilizes Firefighters, aeromedical team, ambulances and PRF in the afternoon of this Sunday (27)
A rollover on BR-376 left two people injured on Sunday afternoon (27), in Ponta Grossa. The accident occurred at km 510 of the highway, in the direction of Curitiba–Ponta Grossa, just before the region of Vila Velha.
According to the information found at the site, the vehicle involved is a Hyundai HB20. The car did not collide with any other vehicle. Due to unclear circumstances, the driver lost control of the steering and the car ended up capsizing over the central construction site and part of the road.
Teams of the Fire Department, Siate, the concessionaire responsible for the section and the Federal Road Police were mobilized to attend to the occurrence.
Two victims were rescued
Two people were in the vehicle at the time of the rollover.
One of the victims is a 25 year old man. He was treated by the Siate team and had injuries considered mild. After the first on-site visits, the man was referred to UPA Santana at Ponta Grossa.
The second victim is a woman. So far, no information has been released about her age.
She received assistance from the CCR PR Vias dealership team and, in need of specialized support, was referred to a hospital unit with the help of the aeromedical team.
The woman’s health status had not been officially reported until the last update of this report.
Accident occurred before Vila Velha
The overturning took place at km 510 of BR-376, in the direction of those who follow from Curitiba to Ponta Grossa, just before Vila Velha.
According to initial information, there was no involvement of other vehicles in the accident. The HB20 would have gone out of control and capsized in the region of the central construction site.
During the care of the victims, emergency teams remained mobilized in the stretch. Drivers passing through the region should keep increased attention due to the movement of vehicles and rescue professionals.
The circumstances that caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle will still have to be determined.
