The 18th Festa do Dia de Castro gathered more than 16,000 people between October 30 and November 1, at the Dario Macedo Exhibition Park, in Castro, at Campos Gerais do Paraná. With national shows, cultural attractions, gastronomy and activities for the whole family, the event ended last Sunday (1st) with a positive balance announced by the City Hall.

Initially scheduled for September, the party had to be postponed due to heavy rains and the emergency situation faced by the municipality. Despite the change in the calendar, the program kept national attractions and free entry, attracting residents of Castro and visitors from other cities.

National shows moved the three days of celebration

The opening took place on Friday (30), with the presentation of the band Jota Quest, which gathered approximately 3,000 people. During the visit to the municipality, vocalist Rogério Flausino praised the historic attractions and architecture of the city.

"It was a pleasure to be here in Castro. I passed through the city, I found it beautiful, with old houses super well-cared for, and the square is beautiful," the singer said.

On Saturday (31), gospel singer Nívea Soares performed for about 2,000 people. Throughout the day, another 1,500 participated in the cultural activities, exhibitions and attractions offered in the park.

The largest audience was recorded on Sunday (1st). During the day, approximately 2,000 visitors circulated through the space. In the evening, the show of the duo Antony and Gabriel gathered about 8,000 people, crowding the park at the end of the party.

The Paraná’s native artists highlighted the importance of participating in an event in the state and identifying their music with the culture of the countryside.

“We tell our truth in the music. And Castro has a history very similar to mine: a working people, a people who laugh,” Antony said.

Party also boosted local trade

In addition to the musical performances, the Castro Day Party opened space for local entrepreneurs in the food court, which worked during the three days.

Merchants highlighted the opportunity to disseminate products, win new customers and expand business visibility.

Gilson Pena, from GPBurguer, said that events of this size help to move the economy of the municipality.

"We see different people, it's an opportunity for people to know our snack and then look for our delivery as well," he explained.

The program also featured an exhibition of old cars, Seminovos Fair, Trekker Trek, artistic presentations and captive balloon flight.

The structure of the Dario Macedo Exhibition Park also received positive reviews from visitors, mainly for the circulation space, the food court and the coverage of the show area.

General entrance, parking and presentations were free. The separately marketed cabins had great demand, especially on the last day.

The City Council evaluates the results and projects upcoming editions

According to the municipal secretary of Government, Ricardo Cardoso Filho, the balance of the 18th Festa do Dia de Castro was positive, both for the popular participation and the integration of the different attractions.

The secretary stressed that the program was able to attract varied audiences during the three days and highlighted the importance of the event for tourism and the local economy.

The City Council also signalled the intention to continue investing in event tourism, with the possibility of incorporating new attractions in the next editions.

With more than 16,000 visitors, the Festa do Dia de Castro 2026 ended its programming consolidating itself as one of the popular celebrations of the municipality and reinforcing the potential of Castro to host major events in the Campos Gerais.
