Identified man who died in serious accident on PR-151

Adir Teixeira da Silva Junior, 66, was identified as the man who died in the serious accident registered on Thursday afternoon in PR-151, near Carambeí, in the direction of Castro–Ponta Grossa. Adir was born on April 13, 1960 and was a native of Piraí do Sul.

The accident mobilized emergency teams and involved a truck and other vehicles. The fatal victim was in a vehicle of the City of Piraí do Sul, which was heading towards Ponta Grossa.

Vehicle was going to hospital in Ponta Grossa

According to information passed on to BnT Online by the mayor of Piraí do Sul, Henrique Cardoso, the vehicle had left the municipality destined for Ponta Grossa to carry out an exchange of escorts in a city hospital. The accident happened approximately one kilometer before Carambeí, in the direction of who follows from Castro to Ponta Grossa.

Preliminary information indicates that a truck was following the highway when it had a brake failure. The truck would have hit the rear of another car and then followed to the side of the highway, where it ended up hitting the car connected to the City Hall of Piraí do Sul.

With the violence of the impact, the vehicle was severely destroyed and Adir was stuck to the hardware. He did not resist the injuries and died at the scene. The final dynamics of the accident should be established by the authorities responsible for investigation and forensics.

Firefighters and aeromedical personnel were mobilized.

Ponta Grossa Firefighters teams worked on the care of the victims and the release. Samu's aeromedical support was also mobilized for the occurrence. During the service, teams worked to access the vehicle and remove the victim who had been trapped after the collision.

The accident caused disturbances in the traffic of the PR-151 while the work of service, security and removal of the vehicles were carried out.

Victim was of Piraí do Sul

The victim was 66 years old and linked to Piraí do Sul, the municipality from which he had departed the vehicle before the accident.
