Journalist Ceres Vieira will be buried this Sunday in Ponta Grossa

The journalist Ceres Vieira, who died at the age of 63 on Saturday (5), will be buried on Sunday (6), in Ponta Grossa. The funeral takes place in the Chapel of San Francisco and the farewell is scheduled for 5 pm, in the crematorium Campos Gerais.

Ceres Vieira was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Unimed Hospital in Ponta Grossa. The death of the journalist was confirmed by the family on Saturday.

Trajectory in journalism of Campos Gerais

With a career marked by a commitment to communication and information, the journalist Ceres Vieira had a distinguished career in the press of Campos Gerais.

Throughout his career, he has passed through different communication vehicles of Ponta Grossa and also worked in the communication area of the City of Castro.

The journalist followed different periods and transformations of the regional press, participating in the coverage and recording of important events for Ponta Grossa and other municipalities of Campos Gerais.

After his career in communication vehicles, Ceres also graduated in Law and went on to work professionally in the area of family and successions.

Health Complications

According to information passed on by the family, Ceres Vieira was a celiac disease carrier. After facing pancreatitis in early May of this year, she presented a picture of malnutrition that evolved severely, despite attempts to recover.

During the last hospitalization, the journalist also contracted pneumonia. The condition evolved into septic shock, a serious condition that required intubation and intensive care in the Unimed Hospital ICU.

During the treatment period, family members even organized a virtual cow with the aim of helping with the costs related to health care.

The funeral of journalist Ceres Vieira takes place in the Chapel of San Francisco, in Ponta Grossa. According to the information released by Serviço Funerário Municipal, the burial is scheduled for 5 pm this Sunday (6), in the crematorium Campos Gerais.
