Police Civil and Municipal Guard arrest men for theft and receiving in Jaguariaíva

Theft and reception of Jaguariaíva resulted in the arrest of two men on Friday. The action was carried out by the Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR), through the 42nd Regional Police Station, together with the Municipal Civil Guard of Jaguariaíva. The people involved were arrested after the investigation of the theft of an aluminum window in the São Luís neighborhood.

According to PCPR, the crime occurred between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. in a residence located in the São Luís neighborhood. The victim noticed the theft after returning to the property and identifying, through the images of the security cameras, the person responsible for removing the aluminum window, valued at approximately R $ 600.

With the information obtained, security teams located the suspect in the vicinity of the crime scene. During the approach, he confessed the authorship of the theft and reported that he had sold the object for R $ 30 to another individual, with the aim of obtaining money to buy narcotics.

The investigation into the case of theft and reception in Jaguariaíva indicated that the second involved acquired the window knowing of the possible illicit origin of the material. Subsequently, the object was resold to a third person for the value of R$ 300.

After further diligence, the Civil Police and Municipal Guard teams were able to locate the property where the squad was stolen and carried out the recovery of the material.

During the testimonies, those involved presented their versions on the negotiation. The author of the theft confirmed that he took advantage of the unlocked gate of the residence to remove the window. The first receiver confirmed the purchase and resale of the product.

The third person involved claimed that he acquired the window believing that the material was of regular origin, claiming that he had already purchased other building materials from the same seller. It was acted upon by faulty reception, when there is no direct intention to participate in the crime, but there is a lack of care in verifying the origin of the product.

Before the facts, the police authority ordered the arrest in flagrante of the person responsible for the theft and the first receiver. Both remained at the disposal of the court.

The Civil Police of Paraná reinforces the importance of community participation in the fight against crime. Complaints can be made anonymously by the phones 197 of the PCPR and 181 of the Disk-Complaint, in addition to the police unit of Jaguariaíva itself.
