Teen tries to flee, but luggage reveals 47 kg of drugs at Ponta Grossa bus station

A police action at the Ponta Grossa bus station resulted in the seizure of approximately 47 kilograms of marijuana-like substance and two adolescents, aged 16 and 17. The incident was attended by the Military Police and the support of the GOC team of the Municipal Guard, who used a dog to assist in the searches.

According to the information passed on about the occurrence, the Military Police received an alert from an operation of the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO). The information indicated that a bus should be boarded at the bus station. The vehicle would be coming from the Mato Grosso bound for Curitiba.

This information was presented as preliminary in the report, without confirmation of the city of origin of the trip.

Teenager fled during the approach

During the action, one of the teenagers remained on the bus. The other ran out of the bus station on perceiving the approach, but was reached by another Military Police team on Rua Visconde de Taunay. According to the report, the teenager who tried to flee was carrying a proof of passage and luggage. The document was linked by the police to the baggage in which part of the drug was found.

The teams located the substance in backpacks and packages. In all, the seizure reached approximately 47 kilograms. The Municipal Guard provided support with the GOC team and a dog during the searches in the vehicle and in the luggage.

Two teenagers were taken to the police station.

According to the information provided, the 16-year-old claimed to own the drug. The other involved, 17 years old, was also in possession of a quantity of the substance. The two teenagers were seized and referred to the police station for appropriate procedures. A team from the Guardian Council was also on the spot to monitor the occurrence, which received support from the Military Police.

The report did not indicate the exact origin of the drug, the destination that would be given to the shipment or the amount assigned to each adolescent.
