Woman convicted of drug trafficking and illegal possession of a weapon is arrested in Castro
The judicial order was issued due to the regression of the prison regime, determining the fulfillment of the sentence in a closed regime, with a remaining prison term indicated of more than 12 years.
The Civil Police of Castro carried out an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court of the District, on Thursday (29), against a woman convicted of crimes related to drug trafficking and possession and illegal possession of a firearm.
The court order was issued due to the regression of the prison regime, determining the fulfillment of the sentence in regime fechado, with the indicated penalty of more than 12 years of imprisonment, according to the court decision.
After diligence, the police team located the woman and made her arrest. Afterwards, she was taken to Castro’s public prison, where she remains at the disposal of the judiciary.
