CAPS of Castro holds lecture and activities on mental health this Wednesday (30), with programming for Yellow September
The Center for Psychosocial Attention (CAPS) of Castro promotes, on Wednesday (30), a special program aimed at raising awareness about mental health. The activities mark the end of the Yellow September campaign and will be open to the community.
One of the highlights will be the lecture “Together for Life”, given by the psychiatrist Dr. Henrique Orlovski Dziedicz. The meeting will start at 3 pm, at the headquarters of CAPS, located at Rua Cipriano Marques de Souza, 116, in the Castro Center.
During the lecture, topics related to suicide and forms of help will be addressed, with guidance on how to welcome people in suffering, listen in an appropriate way and seek specialized support.
The proposal is to create a space for information, awareness and dialogue, highlighting the importance of recognizing signs of emotional suffering and knowing the services available in the mental health network.
CAPS will be open doors
In addition to the talk, CAPS will remain open during the afternoon to welcome the community.
Participants will be able to know the structure of the unit, the services offered, the forms of care and the functioning of the mental health care network. The staff will also be available to clarify questions and guide visitors.
Participation in the program is free. Those interested in the lecture can make the registration through the form provided by the organization.
Walk marked actions of the Yellow September
The program integrates a series of activities promoted in Castro during the Yellow September.
On Friday (25), CAPS and the Municipal Health Secretariat held the first Walk Together for Life. The mobilization traveled through the streets of the central region of the city with participants using yellow umbrellas, in reference to the campaign.
The initiative also featured physical activities and awareness-raising actions in João Gualberto Square, reinforcing the importance of mental health care and the search for help.
