More than 60 companies and institutions join BnT book that tells the history of PG
Event at Sicredi brought together representatives from industry, commerce, services and education to present the work "Ponta Grossa: from the Rota dos Tropeiros to the Tracks of Innovation" and celebrate the five years of the portal

The participation of companies and institutions from different sectors marked the launch of the book “Ponta Grossa: from the Route of the Tropeiros to the Tracks of Innovation”, held on Monday (28), at the headquarters of Sicredi, in Ponta Grossa. Promoted by Portal BnT Online and the Viva Campos Gerais project, the meeting brought together businessmen, co-authors, authorities and representatives of entities that contributed to register the trajectory and transformations of the municipality.
Among the participants were representatives of Sicredi, Heineken, Copel, GMAD, Álvaro Veículos, Shopping Palladium, Plaza Campos Gerais, Funerária Santana, DBUG, Planalto Select Hotel, Viação Campos Gerais (VCG) and Ponta Grossa Ambiental (PGA). The programme also included institutions linked to education, entrepreneurship and representation of workers.

During the solemnity, Sicredi, Vale dos Trilhos, Copel and Sebrae received special thanks for the partnership in the realization of the project. The launch also celebrated the five years of the Portal BnT Online.
Sicredi highlights cooperativism and bond with the city
Host of the event and one of the special partners of the publication, Sicredi was represented by business director Reinaldo Fernandes de Oliveira, who highlighted the relationship between the growth of the cooperative and the development of Ponta Grossa.
In his speech, Reinaldo highlighted the participation of President Márcio Zwierewicz as co-author and stated that the work represents an important record for the next generations. “People who cooperate grow. And we want to continue growing with Ponta Grossa,” he said.
Sebrae also participated in the programming, with the presence of Michael Douglas Camilo, manager of the Regional Center of Sebrae Paraná. Entrepreneurship, innovation, tourism and small businesses are among the topics addressed in the publication.
Industry, energy and technology present at the launch
Heineken was represented by Alexandre, who highlighted, in an interview with BnT, the strategic importance of Ponta Grossa for the company. He related investments in the brewery to the location of the municipality, the qualification of professionals and technological development. For the representative, participating in the book is a way of recording the connection between the company’s trajectory and the growth of the city.
Copel highlighted the role of energy infrastructure in industrial development and expansion of economic activities. During the coverage, the representative of the company highlighted the modernization of the electrical system and the importance of documenting this contribution.
DBUG addressed the evolution of connectivity and investments in fiber optics. The company related its participation in the work to the commitment to regional development and the possibility of presenting Ponta Grossa to new audiences through a publication in Portuguese and English.
Trade and services share their stories
The two shopping malls of the city also participated in the launch. By Plaza Campos Gerais, Frederico highlighted the interest of the enterprise in integrating the history and the culture of the state of the art. Representing the Shopping Palladium, Jeferson recalled the trajectory of more than two decades of the venture and its contribution to local commerce. He also pointed to the book as an opportunity to introduce the municipality to readers from other regions.
The entrepreneur Álvaro Ratinho, from Álvaro Veículos, highlighted the welcome he received when he arrived at Ponta Grossa and the commitment to contribute to the community through his business performance. Through the Santana Funeral, Igor told that the company was founded by his grandfather in 1971, and has passed through generations following the changes of the city. According to him, this connection motivated the adherence to the editorial project.
The VCG highlighted the relationship between public transport, mobility and urban development. Debora, representative of the PGA, highlighted the work carried out by the company in the cleaning of the city and thanked the opportunity to participate in the launch.
Hospitality, football and education integrate the work
Representing the Planalto Select Hotel, Daniel Wagner highlighted the value of the book for the tourism promotion of Ponta Grossa. He also recalled the relationship of the enterprise with the historical heritage and the importance of hospitality for the image that visitors take from the municipality.
Álvaro Góes, linked to GMAD and Operário Ferroviário, addressed the connection between the club, the railway origin of Talleres and the identity of Ponta Grossa. For him, recording these stories allows the next generations to know the contribution of sport to the city.
In education, Senac and Sepam emphasized professional training and the preservation of the institutions’ memory. Colégio Sagrada Família also participated in the cultural programming, with the Rainbow Vocal, responsible for the presentations of the National Anthem and the March to Ponta Grossa.
Collective registration for the next generations
During the event, the journalist Marcos Silva, director of BnT Online, highlighted that the publication was built with the collaboration of different experts, companies and leaders. “This book shows who we are, who we are today and where we want to go,” he said.
The prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt highlighted the importance of the work to preserve the memory of those who contributed to the economic, social and cultural development of the municipality.
