Justice frees three accused in death of missing mason in Ponta Grossa
The men were released after the trial. Marlon Adrian Souza da Silva disappeared in September 2025 and is still missing
The three men accused of the death of the mason Marlon Adrian Souza da Silva were acquitted by Justice in Ponta Grossa. They were tried last Friday (25) and, after the decision, left the prison. Marlon disappeared on September 1, 2025, when he left the house to pay a supposed fee related to the purchase of a property. He was 33 years old and has not yet been found.
The sentence acknowledged that the circumstances of the disappearance raise suspicion, but concluded that the evidence is not sufficient to convict the accused. The courts raised questions about what happened to Marlon and the involvement of each of the three men in the crimes described in the complaint.
What pointed to the investigation
Civil police were investigating the hypothesis that Marlon was killed after discovering a coup in the house negotiation. The defendants were the man who handled the sale of the property, his brother and his brother's boss.
According to Deputy Luis Gustavo Timossi, Marlon left the house around 11:00 a.m. taking cash. A witness saw him with the man who was negotiating the property. During the investigation, police analyzed data from the electronic anklet worn by this man and pointed out that he drove the mason to his own brother’s house.

The residence has been searched. Police reported finding evidence of a bonfire at the scene, but these elements were not considered sufficient to prove the charge at trial.
Marlon still missing
