Paraná Justice Discloses Over R$82 Million in Linked PG Balances; Understand the Values

The Court of Justice of Paraná (TJPR) released on Friday (23) information on the balances of judicial accounts linked to different public entities of the state. Among the published data, Ponta Grossa appears with R$ 82.3 million in book balance in the category identified as “Ponta Grossa (Privates)”, in addition to other R$ 14.6 million registered directly on behalf of the municipality.

The information appears on page 41 of the edition no 4241 of the Diário da Justiça Eletrônico, in publication of the Finance Secretariat of TJPR. The values were presented by Caixa Econômica Federal and have as reference the 30th of September 2026.

How far is Ponta Grossa?

According to the document, the city has records in two distinct categories:

Ponta Grossa: accumulated deed balance of R$ 14,685,426.46 and balance of R$ 3,666,242.59 in the guarantee fund.

Ponta Grossa (Privates): deed balance of R$ 82,365,993.64 and balance of R$ 40,854,894.80 in the guarantee fund.

In addition, the book balances of the two categories exceed R$ 97 million. The amounts reported for the guarantee funds total approximately R$ 44.5 million.

It is important to note that these numbers represent accounting records related to the system of transfers of judicial deposits. Therefore, they do not mean that the Municipality of Ponta Grossa has received these resources or that the values are available for immediate use by the City.

What are court account balances?

Judicial deposits are values that remain bound to lawsuits. Depending on the nature of the process and the applicable legal rules, some of these resources may include transfer mechanisms to public bodies, accompanied by funds intended to guarantee possible refunds.

The cumulative deed balance presented by the Court corresponds to the control of the values recorded in this transfer system. The guarantor fund functions as a reserve to ensure obligations related to legal deposits, in accordance with the applicable rules.

The publication also presents a category called "Private", separated from the records directly associated with the Ponta Grossa. The document, however, does not detail the composition of this category or individually identify the processes that gave rise to the values.

Ponta Grossa received money in September?

Despite the expressive values disclosed in the survey, the report does not register Ponta Grossa among the municipalities that received new transfers during September 2026.

In the specific list of transfers made in that month, only Curitiba and Maringá appear.

Curitiba received R$ 3,075,042.84 in transfers to the public entity, while Maringá registered R$ 2,542,244.16. The two cities also had transfers to their respective guarantee funds.

Thus, the numbers presented for Ponta Grossa correspond to the accumulated balances updated until September 30, and not to new payments made to the municipality in that period.

The values are part of Dispatch No. 5206/2026, published by the Finance Secretariat of TJPR, based on the information sent by Caixa Econômica Federal through the Office No. 183/2026/SEG Curitiba.

According to the Court, the analytical reports of the transfers, the deed balances and the movement of the guarantee funds can be consulted in the public panel of TJPR.
