Paranhos demands copies of toll contracts from ANTT to inspect works and tariffs
Elected federal deputy Paranhos wants to oversee construction schedules, duplications, tariff adjustments and the allocation of funds collected by concessionaires

The elected federal deputy Leonaldo Paranhos (PSD) fulfilled his agenda on Wednesday (14), in Brasilia, at the National Agency for Land Transport (ANTT), where he filed a letter requiring copies of all the concession contracts of the six toll lots of the Paraná highways. The initiative aims to analyse the contractual obligations and monitor the execution of the works, the planned investments and the tariff policy practiced by the concessionaires.
During the agenda, Paranhos was received by Igor de Freitas, manager of Legislative and Governmental Affairs and head of the Parliamentary Advisory of ANTT, with whom he discussed the importance of transparency and monitoring the commitments established in the contracts.
Among the points that will be analyzed are the duplication schedules, implementation of third lanes, improvements in road infrastructure, adjustments of tariffs and application of the collected resources. The elected parliamentarian also requested clarifications on the surplus of collection recorded in some toll squares and the destination of these values.
“The Paranaense has the right to know what has been hired, what works need to be delivered, how much is being collected and if the deadlines and commitments are being fulfilled. Our role is to monitor, monitor and collect results,” said Paranhos.
Former mayor of Cascavel for two terms and former secretary of state for tourism, Paranhos stressed that the quality of road infrastructure is fundamental for the economic development of the Paraná, especially for the transport of agricultural and industrial production, logistics, tourism and the safety of users.
According to him, the analysis of the contracts will allow to identify deadlines, responsibilities and mechanisms of supervision, offering subsidies for a parliamentary action aimed at defending the interests of the municipalities and the population of Paraná.
“We must ensure that the planned investments happen, that deadlines are respected and that the population receives the benefits for which it is paying. We will follow this process closely, with responsibility and transparency,” he said.
The initiative integrates the first work agendas of Paranhos after his election to the Chamber of Deputies. Elected with 99,070 votes, the future parliamentary reaffirms the commitment to exercise a municipalist mandate, with special attention to infrastructure, regional development and the defense of the interests of Paraná in Brasilia.
