RodoFut7 faces DotCon for final spot in PR CUP this Saturday

RodoFut7, team of Ponta Grossa, plays this Saturday (7), at 16h, the semifinal of the PR CUP de futebol 7. The opponent will be DotCon, from Cascavel, in a scheduled match for the Arena Buenão, in the western city of Paraná. The team from Ponta Grossa reaches the decision for a spot in the final after eliminating the previous opponent in the shoot-outs.

Classification came after decision in the shoot-outs

The spot in the semi-final was won in a balanced confrontation. RodoFut7 drew 2-2 in normal time, with goals from Marcelinho and Eskerda. In the shooting-outs, he won 2 to 0, with conversions from Bessa and Eskerda.

The goalkeeper Cassio also had decisive participation in the dispute, helping the Ponta Grossa team to secure the qualification.

Team seeks another final in the season

RodoFut7 President Eduardo Tomas highlighted the project’s evolution and the expectation for the semi-final.

“We’re looking for another final this year. The project is getting stronger and this year’s results show it. RodoFut7 has become a reference in structure and investments,” he said.

The team reaches the decisive phase of the PR CUP after winning the vice-championship of the Copa Libertadores Del Rey and the Super Cup Paraná, in addition to the third place in the Cup Paraná.

Now the challenge is to beat the DotCon, which plays at home, to ensure presence in another final in the season.
