Suspect Falls From 15 Meters And Dies During Attempt To Flee In PG

An attempted theft of a residence ended in a high-complexity rescue operation in the Boa Vista neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa, on the afternoon of Friday (18). A suspect dies after falling from an approximate height of 15 meters while trying to escape the property where he would have entered.

According to information from the PM, the man broke into a residence and was eventually caught by the owner. After being discovered, he began an escape through the region and began to be accompanied by a neighbor who noticed the movement.

During the attempt to escape, the suspect lost his balance and fell into an area of difficult access, with closed vegetation and the presence of a stream. The site required specialized action by the service teams due to the conditions of the terrain.

Teams from the Integrated Emergency Trauma Care System (SIATE) and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) were activated to perform the care. The Military Police also participated in the occurrence and assisted in the work of the rescue teams.

The man was found unconscious by the rescuers and removed from the area of difficult access. After the initial care, he was referred to a Ponta Grossa hospital unit, but did not resist the injuries and subsequently died.

In the residence where the alleged theft attempt occurred, objects left by the suspect during the escape were found. Among the materials were a shoe and a knife, which were collected for analysis.

The Scientific Police were in the building to carry out the procedures of expertise in the materials found. The Civil Police will be responsible for the investigation of the case, including the official identification of the man and the investigation of the circumstances involving the invasion of the residence and the fall.

The case draws attention to the complexity of the rescue carried out in an area of difficult access and the mobilization of the emergency teams of the municipality.
