UEPG will have a new undergraduate course in Football Technology with 150 spots

The State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) has been authorized to offer the Higher Technology Course in Football, in the Distance Education (EaD) modality. The authorization was published in the Official State Gazette of Paraná and provides for the availability of 150 positions, in a single offer, from 2026.

The course will be linked to the Uvaranas Campus, in Ponta Grossa, and will have the form of a technologist. The authorization was formalized by the Secretariat of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education (Seti), through Resolution No. 249/2026.

According to the document, the UEPG must ensure the functioning of the new degree observing the conditions provided for in a Decentralized Term of Execution signed between the University and the State Secretariat for Sport (SEES). The resolution also determines that the offer is made within the legal parameters established by the State.

Course will be offered in EaD mode

The training will be available as a Higher Technology Course in Football, with distance learning. Because it is a higher technology course, approved students who complete the training will receive a higher level diploma in the technologist modality.

The state publication establishes a single offer of 150 places, with a start expected from 2026. The authorization came into force with the publication of the resolution.

The document also establishes that the creation of the offer may not result in an increase in the amount of personnel of the institution, and UEPG must organize the course within the structure and conditions established in the agreement with the Secretary of State for Sport.

Registration and selection do not yet appear in the document

The resolution published in the Official Gazette confirms the authorization and the number of vacancies, but does not inform, in this document, when the registrations will be opened, what will be the duration of the course, the selection criteria or the academic calendar of the new degree.

This information should be detailed later by UEPG on the official channels of the institution.
