Driver loses control and car flips on PR-170 in Pinhão

A capsizing on PR-170 left a 43-year-old passenger with minor injuries on Sunday morning in Pinhão, in the south-central region of Paraná. The accident happened around 5:10 am, at km 436 of the highway, in the stretch between Pinhão and Faxinal do Céu.

According to information from the State Road Police (PRE), the vehicle involved was a Fiat Palio, with pinion plates. The car was driven by a 48-year-old man, who was not injured.

According to the data collected at the site, the driver was following the PR-170 towards Faxinal do Céu to Pinhão. When he reached the height of km 436, he lost control of the steering and the vehicle ended up capsizing on the margins of the highway, on the left side in relation to the direction in which it was traveling.

Passenger was taken to UPA

A 43-year-old woman, who was on the Fiat Palio as a passenger, sustained injuries considered minor as a result of the PR-170 rollover.

A team from the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was called in to provide care to the victim. After the first care, she was referred to the Pronto Atendimento Unit (UPA) of Pinhão for medical evaluation.

The driver of the vehicle did not need to be referred to hospital care.

In addition to the injuries suffered by the passenger, the accident caused material damage to the car.

The accident happened early in the morning.

According to the Guarapuava Road Police Station, the accident was recorded at 5:10 this Sunday. The communication of the occurrence to the teams took place around 5:40.

The occurrence was recorded in the section of the PR-170 that connects Pinhão to the region of Faxinal do Céu.

The information released by the Road Police does not indicate, so far, other vehicles involved in the accident. Other circumstances that may have contributed to the loss of control of the car were also not reported.

The case was registered as a traffic accident with a victim with minor injuries.
