Military police officer injured after rollover on PR-239 in Reserva

A rollover on PR-239 in Reserva left a military policeman injured on Saturday morning. The accident occurred around 8:30 am, at km 247+800 of the state highway, in the stretch belonging to the municipality of Reserva, in the Campos Gerais do Paraná.

According to information passed on by Polícia Militar Rodoviária (PMPR), the vehicle involved was a Renault/Duster, with plates from Curitiba (PR), used by a team of the 26th Battalion of the Military Police.

According to the report registered on the spot, the vehicle was following the PR-239 in the direction between Reserva and Cândido de Abreu when, in the reported stretch, it ended up involving itself in a traffic accident of the type of overturning.

The driver of the vehicle, a military policeman identified as a soldier Bonfati, 32, suffered minor injuries after the accident. He received care and was referred to a hospital unit in the municipality of Reserva for medical evaluation.

Despite the damage to the vehicle, there was no information of other people injured in the incident.

The teams responsible for the care performed the procedures on site and recorded the situation. The circumstances that led to the overturning still need to be analyzed.

The PR-239 is an important road link in the Campos Gerais region and receives vehicle flow between different municipalities. Accidents involving runway exits, collisions and rollovers reinforce the need for increased attention of drivers, especially in rural areas and at higher speed.

The incident was attended by the Paraná Military Police, involving teams of the Specialized Police Company (CPE), Road Police Battalion (BPRv) and the 5th State Road Police Company of Telêmaco Borba.

The case was registered as a traffic accident care with a victim. So far, no information has been released about the causes of the accident.
