Municipal Volleyball Championship ends with titles for Fluxo Kweens and Molas Vôlei in Ponta Grossa
Ponta Grossa's Municipal Volleyball Championship gathered 33 teams and about 350 athletes at the Multiuse Arena. See the champions.
The first edition of the Ponta Grossa Municipal Volleyball Championship came to an end after months of disputes in the Arena Multiuso. Promoted by the City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat of Sports, the competition featured 33 teams and approximately 350 athletes.
The games were divided between the male and female categories, with disputes for the Gold and Silver keys. In the main men's division, the title was given to the Kweens Flow, while the Volleyball Springs won the Women's Gold Key.
Stream Kweens wins men's title
In the decision of the Men's Gold Key, Kweens Flow beat CDR Volock by 2 sets to 0. The match was balanced, with partials of 25 to 22 and 25 to 23.
In the third-place contest, AVV Ponta Grossa defeated Fratelli by 2 sets to 1 and completed the podium of the main men's category.
By Silver Key, Makita Vôlei won the title after overcoming the Generation Vôlei by 2 sets to 0. The third place was won by Orion Volley, who also won the Eagles by 2 sets to 0.
Molas Vôlei wins women's title
The women's finals were held in early September. In the Gold Key decision, Molas Vôlei won the Match Vôlei by 2 sets to 0 and secured the title of the first edition of the championship.
The Phoenix Volley finished in third place after defeating the LDPG/LVPG, also by 2 sets to 0.
In the Women's Silver Key, the title went to the Eagles, who overtook Meluzzi by 2 sets to 1 in a balanced match.
The Vibration took third place after beating Hellas by 2 sets to 0.
Competition brought together about 350 athletes
The Municipal Volleyball Championship started in March and featured 16 men’s and 17 women’s teams.
Throughout the competition, approximately 350 athletes participated in the matches, all held in the Arena Multiuso. The teams registered also received uniforms used during the games.
Participation was free and open to the sports community. To compete in the championship, athletes needed to prove residence, professional bond or study bond in Ponta Grossa.
