Police find almost 21 kg of marijuana in a residence in Ponta Grossa

A seizure of marijuana in Ponta Grossa ended with a man arrested and 20.92 kilos of the drug collected by the Military Police on Saturday night (17), in the region of the Parakeets. The action occurred after a complaint about a possible delivery of narcotics from Curitiba.

According to the information passed on by the Military Police, the team of the 2nd Section of the 1st Military Police Battalion (1st BPM) received a complaint indicating that a quantity of drugs would be transported from the Parana capital to a property in Ponta Grossa. The transport would be carried out by a motorcycle, whose characteristics were initially unknown.

Before the information, the police moved to the indicated address and began to monitor the movement on the spot.

Motorcycle caught the attention of police

During the surveillance, the police saw a purple Honda Twister motorcycle entering the property and leaving shortly after.

According to the police report, the gate of the residence was partially opened after the exit of the motorcycle, allowing the officers to observe a man handling tablets with characteristics of marijuana pressed in the garage.

Suspecting that there were narcotics stored in the property, the police requested the support of a team of the Shock Platoon, who already had knowledge of the information received previously.

Drugs were hidden in feed bags

The Choque team carried out the residence approach and found portions of marijuana stored in feed bags in the garage.

During the continuation of the police action, other portions of the substance were located in one of the rooms of the property.

In all, the police seized 32 servings of marijuana, with a total weight of 20.92 kilograms. A precision scale was also collected at the residence.

The seizure of marijuana in Ponta Grossa was the result of the joint work of the intelligence teams and the Shock Platoon of the 1st BPM.

The man was sent to the 13th SDP.

The man who was in possession of the narcotics received a voice of arrest and was referred to the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP) of Ponta Grossa, along with the drug and scales seized.

The occurrence was recorded around 10 pm on Saturday (17), in the region of Parakeets.

The police did not disclose the age of the arrested man nor did they disclose his identity. There were also no details about the possible participation of other people in the delivery of the narcotics.

The police report points out that the occurrence began from a complaint about drugs that would arrive from Curitiba, but does not confirm the effective origin of all the seized material.

The case was referred to the Civil Police for the legal procedures and the continuation of the investigation.
