Prefeitura wants to transfer Faspg vacancy to Ponta Grossa Prosecutor's Office

Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa has forwarded to Câmara Municipal a bill that provides for the redeployment of a position currently linked to the Social Assistance Foundation of Ponta Grossa (FASPG) to the cadre of the Attorney General of the Municipality (PGM). The matter entered the Legislative Assembly on Thursday (3) and was forwarded by the Executive with a request for urgent processing.

According to the message signed by prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt, the proposal amends the municipal laws No. 14.119/2021 and No. 14.648/2023. The objective is to transfer the position of Foundation Attorney of FASPG to the Direct Administration, with the change of the nomenclature to Municipal Attorney.

The City Council proposes the integration of structures

In the justification presented to the councillors, the Executive affirms that the prosecutor who held the position in the Foundation has already been transferred to the Direct Administration and has rights, prerogatives and remuneration regime equivalent to those of the municipal prosecutors.

According to the City Hall, maintaining a specific position as Foundation Attorney would currently be unnecessary and could cause overlapping of attributions. The administration maintains that the amendment seeks to increase the efficiency and institutional integration between the legal structures of the Municipality.

The Executive also stresses that it is a reshuffle of public employment, without creating a new expenditure for the municipal coffers. The change, according to the justification, will support the control and supervision activities performed by the Attorney General of the Municipality.

The Board now provides for 21 municipal prosecutors

The text presented to the Chamber establishes that the employment of Foundation Attorney will be incorporated into the group of higher-level servers with their own career, becoming the denomination of Municipal Attorney. The project preserves the advantages already existing and applicable to the professionals of the Municipal Administration.

In the new configuration provided for by the project, the board now presents 21 municipal prosecutor positions, with informed base salary of R$ 4,936.77. The hourly load can be 20, 25 or 30 hours per week, according to the specific applicable legislation.

The proposal also formally repeals the employment of Foundation Attorney provided for in Law No. 14.648/2023 and determines the repeal of Law No. 8.432/2005. If it is approved by the council and sanctioned, the text establishes validity from September 1, 2026.

Executive calls for urgency

In the message sent to the legislature, Elizabeth Schmidt asked the councilors to analyze the matter in an urgent manner, based on the Municipal Organic Law. According to the information presented, the project entered the Chamber on September 3, 2026, with a deadline indicated until October 3.

The matter still needs to pass through the analysis of the Legislative before proceeding to a vote in plenary.
