President of STF takes over the lead on the case involving Moraes and Vorcaro
Fachin also sent to the presidency cases involving Master and INSS

The president of Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), Luiz Edson Fachin, is now the rapporteur of the case on the alleged relationship between Minister Alexandre de Moraes and the former banker Daniel Vorcaro. In the same dispatch this Saturday (12), Fachin referred to the Presidency of the Court cases related to Banco Master and frauds at the National Social Security Institute (INSS).
In the decision, Fachin refers to the dispatch of Minister André Mendonça, also on Saturday, who referred the investigation against Alexandre de Moraes (Petition 16,662) to the president of STF, based on the Supreme Court’s internal regiment, which assigns to the Court plenary the responsibility for prosecuting and judging crimes committed by the ministers of the house.
The president of the Supreme Court had also already suspended any procedure on investigation of members of the Court in a decision of September 9, and ordered that any case be referred to him. Mendonça, then, fulfills that determination.
On Tuesday (15), an extraordinary plenary session analyzes Pet 16.662 and decides on a possible investigation into alleged relations between Alexandre de Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro.
Master and INSS
In the document, Fachin sends to the Presidency the Pets 15,041 and 15,556 and “all the processes related to them”. The first deals with undue discounts on pensions and pensions granted by the INSS. The other is one of the investigations related to the Master.
