Resident of Ipiranga Dies After Accident with Rollover on PRC-487

An accident on the PRC-487 in Ipiranga ended with the death of Marciel Sicoa, 43, on Saturday afternoon. The resident of the community Ulisses Guimarães – Mutirão 2 was in a Volkswagen Voyage that capsized at km 374+100 meters of the highway, in the stretch between Ipiranga and the junction with the BR-373.

According to information from the Road Police Station (PPRv) of Ponta Grossa, the accident was registered around 5 pm and involved a vehicle with plates of Ponta Grossa. The car followed the PRC-487 in the direction Ipiranga at the junction with the BR-373 when the rollover occurred.

Marciel Sicoa was rescued and referred to the Municipal Hospital of Ipiranga, but could not resist the injuries and was later confirmed dead.

The resident was 43 years old, single and residing in the community Ulisses Guimarães – Mutirão 2, in Ipiranga. He leaves his sons Jenifer, Felipe and Gustavo, as well as family and friends who mourn the loss.

The body will be veiled in the Municipal Mortuary Chapel of Ipiranga. The time of the funeral will be determined by the family. The burial is scheduled to take place in the Cemetery of the Pinhão Community, also in Ipiranga, at a time that will be informed later.

In addition to the fatality, three other passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. A 23-year-old man suffered minor injuries. Another occupant, 25 years old, had moderate injuries. A third passenger, 31 years old, suffered minor injuries.

According to the report of the Road Police Station, the case was registered as a traffic accident with victims. Service teams were mobilized to provide relief to the occupants of the vehicle.

The circumstances that caused the accident will still be determined by the responsible bodies. The dynamics of the occurrence should be analyzed from the surveys carried out on site.
