State approves R$ 174 thousand for pharmaceutical assistance in Ponta Grossa
Resources are intended for the structure and operation of municipal services; Castro and Carambeí are also included

Ponta Grossa had R$ 174,160 authorized for municipal pharmaceutical assistance, according to Resolution SESA no 1292/2026, published in the Official State Gazette of October 15. The resource integrates the Incentive to the Organization of Pharmaceutical Assistance (IOAF), aimed at improving the structure and processes of care in Paraná municipalities.
Of the total foreseen for Ponta Grossa, R$ 34,832 are destined to expenses of costing and R$ 139.328 to capital expenses, category that covers investments in goods and equipment. The transfer depends on the signing of the term of membership by the municipality and the fulfillment of the requirements established in the resolution.
How values were defined
The calculation considers the value of R$ 70 per user of the Specialized Component of Pharmaceutical Assistance and the Supplementary List of Sesa, with active registration in the state system SISMEDEX and attendance in the municipal pharmacy.
For Ponta Grossa, the annex to the resolution records 2,488 users, according to the database of June 3, 2026. This number is used to calculate the incentive and does not correspond to the total number of people served by all the pharmaceutical assistance services of the municipality.
Castro and Carambeí are also contemplated
The resolution provides resources for municipalities of the Campos Gerais. Castro has R$ 199.010 authorized, while Carambeí is contemplated with R$ 89.600. Throughout Paraná, the incentive is R$ 28,082,230, with distribution to the 399 municipalities. The transfer is provided in a single installment, from the State Health Fund to the municipal health funds, through membership.
Money should improve services
Among the intended purposes are improvements in the infrastructure and the processes of receipt, storage, distribution and dispensing of medicines. Actions must comply with health legislation and good pharmaceutical practices. The resolution prohibits the use of this incentive for the purchase of medicines, as well as its application outside of pharmaceutical assistance.

The municipalities must also present planning and accountability for the use of the values. The publication authorizes the transfer, but does not prove that the resources have already been deposited in the municipal accounts.
