Tourist bus and truck involved in serious accident on BR-376

An accident involving a tour bus and a truck was registered on Thursday morning (17) on BR-376, in the descent of Serra do Mar, in Guaratuba, on the coast of Paraná.

The collision took place in the Santa Curva region, on the track direction Santa Catarina. Preliminary information points to the accident between kilometers 665 and 667 of the highway. Images received by Portal BnT Online show the size of the occurrence.

The truck appears with heavy damage in the frontal region, while the bus is stopped on the side of the highway. It is also possible to observe debris and materials scattered over the track.

Teams respond to the accident

The Federal Road Police (PRF), the dealership responsible for BR-376 and rescue teams were mobilized to respond to the occurrence. The track Santa Catarina was blocked in the accident during the service, causing reflexes in traffic for those who follow through the Serra do Mar towards Santa Catarina.

Until the last update, there was no official confirmation about the number of people injured or about the existence of victims in a serious state. The dynamics of the accident have not yet been officially reported. The circumstances that caused the collision between the truck and the bus must be determined by the authorities.

The stretch of the Curva da Santa requires increased attention from drivers because it is located in a region of steep slopes and curves at the descent of the Serra do Mar.
