The woman acquitted by the jury in Ponta Grossa on Thursday (15), after answering for triple-qualified murder, had the decision commented by defense lawyers Renato Tauille and Helian Kosloski dos Santos. According to the defenders, the technical and expert evidence presented during the trial were fundamental to support the thesis that the accused was not the author of the crime.

Shortly after the trial ended, the lawyers released a video commenting on the result. Renato Tauille stressed that the decision ended approximately a year and a half of criminal proceedings and stated that the theses presented by the defense were welcomed by the Judgment Council.

“After a year and a half of exhausting criminal proceedings, the Ponta Grossa District Jury, in response to theses presented by the defense, acquitted the defendant of a triple-qualified homicide charge,” it said.

Helian Kosloski dos Santos also highlighted the analysis of the evidence presented during the trial. According to the lawyer, the defense argued that technical and expert elements removed the possibility that the woman was responsible for the criminal action.

“The Judgment Council, composed of four men and three women, not only acknowledged that there was no evidence against her, but that there was technical evidence, cabal evidence and expert evidence that she could not be the author of the action,” the defender said.

The statement represents the interpretation presented by the defense after the trial. At the end of the session, the jury voted for the defendant’s acquittal.

Woman responded for triple-qualified murder

The lawsuit was related to the death of Jackson Luis Ferreira de Quadros, which occurred on May 25, 2025, in Rua Theófilo Cunha, Vila Coronel Cláudio, in Ponta Grossa.

According to the complaint filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paraná (MPPR), the victim was approached on public roads and struck with a knife. Jackson died of acute bleeding.

The report used in the process pointed to at least 17 perforated lesions in the body of the victim. The amount and characteristics of the injuries were used by the prosecution to support, among other points, the qualifier of cruel means.

The woman responded to qualified homicide for awkward motive, a cruel way and a remedy that would have hindered the defense of the victim. The lawsuit also involved charges related to the involvement of a 17-year-old in the crime.

Justice had determined trial by the Jury Court

Before Thursday’s trial, the court had considered that there were sufficient elements for the accused to be submitted to the Jury Court.

In the decision to pronounce, elements were mentioned such as images of security cameras, testimonies, clothes similar to those recorded in the images of the crime and materials later found in the property where the woman was located.

The process also gathered expert reports, photographs, occurrence reports, examinations and the victim's necropsy report.

The defense, on the other hand, challenged the interpretation and strength of these elements and had previously argued that women should not be subjected to popular judgment.

Juries decided on acquittal in Ponta Grossa

During the trial, the prosecution and defense presented their versions and evidence to the Judgment Council. At the end of the session, the jurors decided to absolve.

According to lawyers Renato Tauille and Helian Kosloski dos Santos, the decision should also result in the release of the woman.

She had been imprisoned since the day after Jackson's death. The arrest initially carried out in flagrante was later converted into a preventive detention and had been maintained when the Justice ordered, in September 2025, that the case be taken to the Court of the Jury.

With the decision on Thursday, the defendant was acquitted by the Judgment Board after approximately a year and a half of the criminal proceedings.
