Military Police Expand "Mulher Segura" Operation Actions in Ponta Grossa

Operation Safe Woman in Ponta Grossa reinforces, during the month of September, the actions of the Paraná Military Police (PMPR) aimed at preventing domestic violence and protecting women victims of assault. The initiative received reinforcement on the 15th and 16th, with the participation of teams from the Maria da Penha Patrol and other units of the corporation.

The official launch of the operation in Ponta Grossa took place on Avenida Doutor Vicente Machado, in the central region of the municipality. The mobilization seeks to expand the police presence and strengthen preventive actions related to the care of women who have Emergency Protective Measures determined by the Justice.

During Operation Safe Woman, the Military Police intensifies preventive visits, guidance to victims and mainly monitoring compliance with judicial measures imposed on the aggressors. The monitoring aims to reduce risks and prevent further episodes of domestic violence.

According to the PMPR, the increase in the number of personnel during the operation allows to extend the services carried out by the specialized teams and strengthen the work carried out by the Maria da Penha Patrol. In addition to preventive actions, the corporation also acts in compliance with court orders related to cases involving violence against women.

The Military Police emphasizes that the participation of the community is fundamental in the confrontation of domestic violence. Women who are at risk can seek assistance through official emergency channels and count on the support of security forces.

The operation integrates a series of initiatives developed by PMPR to expand women’s protection and bring the population closer to public safety services. In Ponta Grossa, the teams continue to carry out follow-up and guidance actions to ensure greater effectiveness of protective measures.
