Old Man Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on Avenida Bispo Dom Geraldo Pellanda in PG
A man around 65 years old was struck near the Fountain, in Ponta Grossa, and was taken by firefighters to UPA Santana.
A 65-year-old man was injured after being run over on Avenida Bispo Dom Geraldo Pellanda at Ponta Grossa. The incident was recorded in the vicinity of Chafariz, on Wednesday (30).
According to information obtained on the spot, a Volkswagen Fox was following the avenue, in the direction of Downtown, when the hit. Preliminary reports indicate that the pedestrian began crossing the road when the vehicle approached.
The exact circumstances of the accident will still have to be confirmed by the authorities responsible for attending to the occurrence.
Victim was forwarded to UPA Santana
Firefighters were called in to provide assistance to the man. During the evaluation, the rescuers identified a blunt wound in the region of the neck, in addition to other abrasions by the body.
After receiving the first treatments still on site, the victim was referred to UPA Santana for medical evaluation.
The driver of the Volkswagen Fox, a 34-year-old woman, remained at the scene after the accident. There is no information that she was injured.
Those involved had their identities and images preserved.
So far, no updated information on the state of the man has been released.
